Essex Premier Cup
Buckhurst Hill are into the Final after putting on a second half display that saw them get back on level terms before scoring twice in the final five minutes to book their Final berth. Waltham Abbey Res. were chasing four pieces of silverware going into this one; and they went into a 1-0 half time lead thanks to Reece Mosanya opening the scoring in the 26th minute. Jose Espinoza levelled up four minutes into the second half and then took the lead in the 85th minute when Nathan Sollosi fired home. Two minutes later Buckhurst Hill sealed the victory with a Steven Townsend goal. Either Old Southendian or Catholic United will provide the opposition in the Final.
Essex Junior Cup
Chingford Athletic are into the Final – but they had to hold their nerve in a penalty shootout to reach it. Laindon Orient held a 1-0 lead until Gary Murray levelled up in the 82nd minute. And then Joe Cloake stepped up to score the final penalty to win the shoot-out 5-4. They will meet either Old Southend Res. or Oracle Components in the Final.
Premier Division
Postponements again played havoc, not that Frenford will be too bothered about that; they managed to get their game against Canning Town played and the 5-1 win now sees them leading the table by five points. Bradley Nobbs and Brad Foley scored twice apiece with Luke Woodward the other Raeford scorer. Canning Town replied via Neil Barratt.
Division One
FC Hamlets registered a 5-0 win at Shenfield AFC with Ishmael King notching a hat-trick. John Gilroy and Charlie Heatly bagged the other two goals. Snaresbrook also won on the road as Drew Barbier and Mitchell Collymore scored their goals in a 2-0 win at Runwell Sports.
Division Two
The top two both met on Saturday as May & Baker E.C. Res. entertained leaders Herongate Athletic. That was where their hospitality ended as they then went on to register a 7-0 drubbing which closes the gap to six points, with May & Baker also having three games in hand. Darren Seymour scored a hat-trick with Joel Oliver, Carl Patten, Dan Alexander and Derek Hawtin also supplying goals. Ryan sit at the foot of the table and they also shipped goals on Saturday. Toby provided the opposition and went on to win the game 6-1 with Arron Watson-McNab and Peter Spicer both scoring braces, with Rodney Capemba and Nick Harvey also notching. Kalum Bama provided the Ryan consolation. A1 Sports beat Ongar Town 5-3 with Rodney Sarsah-Wilson and Ryan Scougall both scoring twice. George Gibbon scored their other goal, while Ongar replied via a Sean Green brace alongside a Ben Stone strike. The other game in the division also saw goals as Ramsden Scotia rifled four without reply against Newham United. Antony Driscoll, Ryan Leddra, Max Corrigan and Kurt King were the marksmen.
Division Three
Chris Ifill scored twice for Frenford Res. who went on to beat Leytonstone United 6-0. Laurie Webster, Jamie Webster, Andre Hart and Reece Morley scored the other goals.
