Thank you to everyone who entered this year’s Valentine’s Day Competition to win a case of beer courtesy of the Brentwood Brewing Company.

We had over 50 entries with lots of great poems but the winner came from Anver Anderson who came up with the following:

Roses are Red
And Brentwood’s abrewing,
Good ale to give men
The courage to go wooing

If you were one of the unlucky losers you can always console yourself by heading down to the brewery’s new showroom behind Calcott Hall Farm Shop in Ongar Road and sampling some of the many beers on offer there.
