Well it may be wet today but the next two days are looking good – but whatever you are not at work so life is good!
On today’s show we looked at a couple of the strange stories we encountered earlier this week and also looked ahead at some of the sporting events taking place this weekend.
In our BRENTWOOD & BILLERICAY BYGONES feature today, Frances Clamp recalled a very wet spell of weather back in September 1958 when both Billericay and Wickford were seriously affected by floods following a huge thunderstorm. Surpreising really we could simply have gone outside as today’s rain was something to behold – such that Steve Robertson never made it in to the studio and it took me ages to get home driving through literal floods. Anyway listen again to what Frances told me here: – Bygones 20th August
And whatever you do, don’t let today’s rain spoil you enjoyment of your final bank holiday before Christmas.
See you next week.
