Hello there.

So this week was a bit different as I introduced you to a new band called Joint Honours and their song Coming Together. The Derby based band sample a pop/rap fusion bringing something completely new, fresh and wonderful to the music scene.  Since meeting at Derby University they have not only received national airplay after featuring on the BBC Radio Six playlist. Their track ‘’Coming Together’’ was also included on Tom Robinson’s Freshnet New Music Mixtape in May 2014, and they have performed at London’s O2 Arena, Y-Not Festival, Bearded Theory and been featured at Derby’s Olympic Torch Parade. This year they have released a Self-Produced EP ‘Lucky Number 8’ which has been described as a mixture of The Streets, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Beach Boys.

This week in entertainment I chatted about the newly wed George Clooney and his star-studded ceremony in Venice. Clooney and high-powered barrister Amal Alamuddin wed last weekend surrounded by the historic city island of Venice, Italy. Guests included Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Cindy Crawford. And if a £3000 a night stay at the 6 star hotel Aman Canal Grande, guests were treated to entertainment by Il Divo themselves.

And moving on to good news. Doug the Pug! Yes thats right a cute little Pug named Doug from Nashville, Tennessee. He has shot to fame on Instagram thanks to his owner Leslie Mosier, and her creative mind. Doug is bound to cheer up anybody’s day thanks to his unbelievable human-like poses.
