If you know someone who is over 65 and isn’t as mobile as they used to be, they could be entitled to Attendance Allowance.
The criteria talks about problems with ‘bodily functions’ but it’s not quite as you might imagine.
For example, if the person in question has arthritis and can’t get around as easily as they used to, it might be that they’re needing to take taxi’s to and from doctors appointments or perhaps in need of adapted equipment to help them perform tasks in the kitchen.
