Nick Field

I'd been blogging about music and doing bits of DJing in local clubs when I joined Phoenix FM back in September 2006, so it was the perfect opportunity to put them together and create something new for the local scene, showcasing new Essex acts side by side with great music from around the world.

We don't stick to one particular genre of music - I've always said the show is driven by passion, not by genres - and over the years we've had indie, metal, techno, jazz, beatboxing - the list keeps going!
