A present from “on High”

Being a Tuesday, I was once again joined by our very own historian, Margaret Mills, who this week took us over to metropolitan Essex to visit Valentines Park, the site of the so-called, “HOLY WELL”.

You can listen again here to what Margaret had to say about this attraction: –

But bringing us back down to earth, we reported on the woman, who received a somewhat unwelcome gift from the heavens.

Following a trip to Cuba, Stephanie Moore, a 36-year Canadian was more than a little surprised when a frozen lump of excrement, came within 15 feet of braining her whilst sleeping in her mother’s house.

Woken by the noise of the impact she found pink insulation, drywall, ceiling material and shattered bits of wood on the hallway floor in a puddle of water.

The following morning, daylight could be seen shining through the 1 metre wide hole with obvious damage to the roof’s planking and shingles.

The insurance assessor and roofer declared that the cause was , “blue ice” – a term for frozen excrement that can leak from aircraft in mid flight and named after the colour of disinfectant used by sewage systems in commercial planes.

A spokeswoman for Transport Canada confirmed that they were urgently investigating the issue noting that Canadian Aviation Regulations strictly forbids the dropping of waste mid flight.

I hope to have the pleasure of your compasny once more next week,
Scott
