Tony Leggett from the Rodings and Ongar branch of the U3a, University of the third age, talked about the movement which is a collection of groups that run local and online member-led  for recreation and learning for those no longer in full time work. His local branch have 21 groups including art, boules, Tau Chi, Ukulele and walking. Tony is group’s co-ordinator and also a member of the Pool group and the Badminton group.

At the open day activists will be  inside and outside the building to explain about the local groups and encourage new members to join.

Music will include excerpts from: Les Miserables, The Greatest Showman, Queen, Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton and various Rogers and Hammerstein songs. BGT semi-finalist and Welsh Singer of the Year John Pierce will be singing. He will be joined by Elizabeth Lyon, currently young Elsa in the West End. Rosie Buggle, Essex Young musician of the year and UK Musician of the year finalist. Various other local acts. There will be a fireworks finale.
