Music Makes All Set For 50th Anniversary

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

We’re gearing up for a radio expansion into east London later this year, and it seems word is already getting round, as we had a visit from our regular listeners from the Havering Music Makers last week.

The theatre company is gearing up for its golden jubilee, celebrating an incredible 50 years of bringing magic to the stage.

Jo Bailey hosted not one, two, three … but eight of the music makers! Jackie, Freddie, Sam, Joe, Billy, Abbie, Lauren and Paula came down to the studio to talk about their new production of Shrek.

Jackie is the choreographer, and in a group of 50 people she explained on how that works, including lively dance and tap performances.

Their latest show runs from July 17 to 19 at the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch, and you can hear their interview with Jo again at phoenixfm.com.
