One 2 Three
Patrick Sherring

Ian and Sue from the Brentwood Schools Christian Worker Trust talked about the work with over 1,000 pupils in local primary sector schools in preparation for Easter. With Year 2s the interactive session were called Sadness to joy. Through dressing up, tasting and moving around the room sad things that happen and happy things are explored. One 6 year old boy commented, “isn’t it amazing that Jesus just wants to forgive everyone”. Year 6s students sessions are usually held in the local church. Here there are four different zones to explore all that happened at the first Easter and asking, what does it say to us today? An 11 years old student reflected, “I knew Easter was about Jesus and Easter eggs. Now I see it is about forgiveness and that God’s love is infinite”.
