The great Max Romeo, who passed away this week.
At the weekend, the sad news reached us that one of reggae’s great pioneers Max Romeo had passed away at the age of 80. With a huge back catalogue, he will be remembered for his single “Wet Dream”, which was banned by the BBC and the wonderful album “War Inna Babylon”. On this week’s show, I pay tribute to the great man by playing “Chase the Devil”, which was heavily sampled by The Prodigy on their track “Out of Space”. RIP.
