THE NON-LEAGUE HOUR – 10th April 2025

This week’s round-up of the local men’s and women’s non-League football scene in Essex and East London, including three match reports.

Mixed fortunes for Billericay Town this week, as a 2-0 defeat at home to Cray Wanderers on Saturday – their second loss in a row at New Lodge – provided a blow to their hopes of winning the Isthmian Premier League title.

But last night at Aveley’s Parkside Stadium, they beat Chatham Town 3-2 to win the Velocity Trophy (the Isthmian League Cup), and now their supporters will be hoping they can make it a league and cup double.

We also had a report from last Saturday’s game at Spa Road, which saw Brentwood Town go five points clear at the top of the Isthmian North as they defeated hosts Witham Town by two goals to one.
