This past week marked 18 years since the first Curveballs live show – it’s a grown-up! – and we had a wonderful anniversary present from The Panic Awards with a nomination in the Best Radio Show category. Although we didn’t take the award home, it was a pleasure to be featured and at the event, which also featured performances from our buddies in Lady Grey & The Earls and Myopia. We also featured a few acts I discovered at an all-day gig at Islington’s O2 Academy on Saturday (the anniversary date itself), headlined by The Bluetones. We may not have gigs on every corner like we think we used to, but there’s still so much great music to discover out there – never forget that!
