Not all snacks are quite what they seem!

Isn’t it wonderful to be back in summertime? Well at least the clock thinks so, meaning that we can now hopefully look forward to those longer evenings, maybe, if the weather is kind to us, allowing a quiet drink in the garden or on the patio – well one can dream and with the weather set fair for much of the week ahead, we are at least off too a good start.

Notwithstanding this we took a look today at the couple who fell foul of the law by attempting to supply a prison inmate with a mobile phone.

21-year old Cristielli Mansa, tried to send the device to her boyfriend, Wagner Machado Rodrigues, 19, who had recently been arrested for drug trafficking, by attaching it to a pigeon

Unfortunately for the pair, although the pigeon successfully cleared the three-metre high wall of the Central Prison in Porto Alegre, Brazil, it then plummeted to the ground, exhausted by the effort, right in front of a patrolling prison officer’s vehicle.

Officers rushed outside where they found Cristielli and another man, Sydney Jeferson Lopes da Silva, 35,  with a second pigeon which was being readied for flight .

The second pigeon was found inside a plastic bottle with the bottom cut off, and stuck to its wings was a ‘backpack’ with a battery, chips and large sum of money.

Cristielli and her companion, were arrested for attempting to smuggle items into prison and also charged with animal cruelty.

In the second hour of today’s show we heard all about the TV weatherman, who spotting what he believed to be grape nuts on the floor, scooped them up and then proceeded to chomp on the snack.

He then realised that the delicacy he was enjoying was actually cat’s vomit he’d stepped in earlier at home and which had then come off his shoe.

He later revealed that it had tasted like shoes before pulling off his shoe to show the camera, adding ‘I just ate cat vomit, I thought it was grape nuts! Omg!!!’

Not too unlike the news we seemed get served up these days in every bulletin!

Well after that I could understand it if you decided not to join me again tomorrow.

But if you are still feeling brave I’d be glad of your company from 1pm again tomorrow,
Scott
