Another busy show this week, with the ‘Super Saturday’ climax of Rugby Union’s Six Nations tournament playing a big part in proceedings.
It was an intriguing afternoon and evening, with four of the nations involved – including England – still standing a mathematical chance of taking the 2025 title going into the final day.
But in the end it was France who clinched that honour, after beating Scotland by 35 points to 16 on Saturday evening in Paris.
In football, Brentwood Town stayed at the top of the pile in the Isthmian League North Division after scoring five goals against Newmarket Town without reply at the Brentwood Centre Arena, and Andy Gardener came in after the final whistle to tell us all about it.
