This afternoon we reported on the somewhat unusual ideas, one might even say bizarre, introduced by one company, aimed at motivating staff and improving productivity, then later in the show, being a Tuesday I was once again joined by Margaret Mills.
This week Margaret turned her attention to the town of Witham, notably during 16th and 17th century when the town became a centre for the weaving trade, and later on when healing spa waters were discovered.
But first off we turned our attention to the bizarre ideas introduced by a company in Spain, which they seem confident will improve the working environment for their employees.
ERIKA LUST FILMS, a company specialising in the production of content for indie adult cinema, recently provided journalists with a tour of their HQ in Barcelona.
Much to the surprise of those on the tour, they found the offices to be brimming with vulva-inspired decorations, with the crowning glory of an ‘erotic chapel’.
Boss of the enterprise is Swedish entrepreneur, appropriately named, ERIKA LUST who told the assembled journalists, that since the Covid epidemic she had noticed that her workforce seemed to be increasingly lacklustre, less focused on their work, agitated and anxious.
She therefore decided to grant all her employees an extra 30 minutes out of their working day for so called, “pleasure breaks”.
Rather akin to a conference room, the company has even set aside a so-called “comfort station” providing a range of specialised items for employees to use during their comfort breaks.
She hopes that these facilities will result in a much more hardened workforce!
I really don’t know what to say, but hope to see you again next week,
Scott
