Geezers, Pleasers & Cheesers – Saturday 8th March

Mandy Cullen

Geezers Pleasers & Cheesers

This week on Geezers, Pleasers and Cheesers we had our usual eclectic mix from the 70s, 80s and 90s. As it was International Women’s Day, we focussed on women singing songs that had a female name in the title. The Geezers included Elastica, The Kinks and All About Eve. The Pleasers were on equally brilliant form and among them we found The Supremes, Helen Reddy and Joan Armatrading. As ever there was no way the Cheesers were going to be outdone and they included Jets, Kiki Dee and Paul Evans (Lea Jane Berinati).
And as well as all that, we had all our usual features including Trackwards, When Were They….8, Are You A Cover Lover, the Weekend Wildcard, the Mixed Up Mix Tape and the Birthday Bonanza – all before we said So Long with the Long Song. Phew!
If you missed it or simply loved it, you can listen (again) here:
