Good For The Soul played some of the best Soul and R&B tracks from across the decades, including some main stage acts at the upcoming Boogietown Festival in July 2025, like Billy Ocean, Sister Sledge, UB4O and Kool & The Gang. We paid tribute to The Jam’s drummer, Rick Buckler who sadly passed last week, by playing ‘The Bitterest Pill’ during our Soulful but not Soul feature, with Sam Fender, Stealers Wheel and Bob Dylan also featuring on the playlist. Soul Spin took us back to 1964 with three big Soul tracks from The Drifters, Dixie Cups and Dionne Warwick, that all placed in Rolling Stone’s top 500 songs! Also, I shared how I have spent my life savings on Sabrina Carpenter tickets this summer and justified this, to not only you but also myself, as Olivia Dean is one of her opening acts.
