Last week’s Good For The Soul show played some of the best Soul and R&B tunes from across the decades, inspired by some recent vinyl purchases. Joyce Sims, Jimmy Ruffin and Arrested Development were amongst some of the classic soul artists on the playlist this week. We went back to 1995 for ‘Soul Spin’, with special features from Shaggy, Diana King and the song of that year from Coolio, Gangsta’s Paradise. ‘Soulful but not Soul’ was Indie inspired with Paolo Nutini, Razorlight, KT Tunstall and Eliza Doolittle’s powerful vocals, proving that Soulful music isn’t just restricted to the Soul or R&B genre. In between all the good music, I spoke about my recent Yoga adventure and future London trips!
You can listen to the show if you missed it, or add any of the songs to your own playlist!
