Dominic’s first mental health conference for men

Paul Golder writes for the Brentwood Gazette

Dominic Fenton paid a visit to Jo Bailey’s Drive show last week to share some exciting news about his first Men’s Mental Health Conference.

Dominic has been coming in to Phoenix FM for the last six years to talk regularly about mental health issues. A rugby coach who has been part of Chelmsford RFC since 1998, Dominic works around the UK and beyond aiming inspire one person a day using the power of sport and activity through events, workshops and connecting others.

His personal experiences have driven his passion for helping others and he believes that open conversations about mental health are crucial.  There is not enough help for men when their mental health is failing, and whether that’s due to physical health issues causing depression or depression causing physical health issues, men’s mental health deserves the spotlight. Taking the time to learn what you can about men’s mental health is important for that reason alone.

The conference promises to be a day filled with insightful discussions, expert speakers, and practical strategies to improve mental health. It takes place at Pontlands Park in Great Baddow on Saturday 8 March – tickets are avilable on Eventbrite.

You can hear Dominic’s interview with Jo again at https://www.phoenixfm.com and get more information about Dominic’s activities at https://www.facebook.com/theactivityconnector.
