Good For The Soul – 26th Jan – BRITS Talk!

Good For The Soul was inspired by the BRITS this week, playing past and possibly future winners of the esteemed award on the playlist! We heard from the almighty Tracey Chapman, Randy Crawford and Sade, all 80s winners, and Jorja Smith, RAYE and Michael Kiwanuka, three of the nominees for this years British R&B act. ‘Soulful but not Soul’ was also BRITS themed with Myles Smith, Phil Collins and Queen’s iconic track ‘Under Pressure’ with David Bowie, featuring this week. Our ‘Soul Spin’ took us back to 1987 when Cameo, Terrence Trent D’Arby and George Michael and Aretha Franklin’s track dominated the charts. You can listen back if you missed the show below and add any of the tracks to your own playlist!
