PHOENIX SPORT – 25TH JANUARY 2025

Another three hours of live sports updates and music for a Saturday afternoon.

This week, we had reports from another excellent win for Leyton Orient, who less than two months ago were in the Sky Bet League One relegation zone but now find themselves just outside of the play-off positions, after goals from Dilan Markenday and Charlie Kelman gave them a 2-0 win at home to Reading.

Our featured non-League game this week proved to be a disappointing one for Billericay Town, whose fine form had taken them to the top of the Isthmian Premier League.

Gary McCann and his squad travelled to Dartford – who impressively have been unbeaten in all competitions since October and have risen to the play-off positions – and it was a comfortable victory for the Kent side who scored four goals without reply.
