I find it difficult to believe that we have just entered another New Year.
I hope you had a good time celebrating and thoroughly enjoyed your time off work.
But some things never change I guess. such as people having far too much to drink and ending up in a right old mess.
Take for example the German man who got so slaughtered that he took a wrong turn on his drive home and ended up driving into an underground rail tunnel.
Yes, 27-year old, Martin Huber was arrested on tracks in Bochum after trespassing on to them in his black Citroen.
He’d initially been following a tram line but failed to stop when he arrived at the underground station.
He only stopped when officers leapt out in front of him.
A major catastrophe was avoided because trains and trams had stopped running for the night but that didn’t prevent his being charged with drink driving, once police had determined that he was more than three times over the legal limit.
And surprise, surprise, his licence was also seized.
His car, was eventually towed out by a train.
Meanwhile from over in Pueblo, Colorado, news has just emerged of a man being arrested for impersonating a police officer.
But at least he carried out the act in style after he accused an under cover cop of being a drug dealer!
Roland Herrera, 63 approached the genuine officer at a mobile phone retailer and asked why he had so many phones, suggested that he was a drug dealer and demanded he hand over his stash of drugs.
At this point the real officer flashed his badge and promptly arrested Herrera for impersonating a police officer.
Oops!
Right well I very much hope to have the pleasure of your company once again tomorrow,
Scott
