Leyton Orient V Cambridge United Match Report
1) The visitors Cambridge get play underway in what is a freezing cold afternoon in E10

6) The first big chance of the game falls to the U’s. An inswinging corner fell kindly to
Dan N’Lundulu from six yards out, he blasted a shot from point blank range and
somehow O’s keeper Josh Keeley spread himself wide to produce an excellent save
to prevent Orient from falling a goal behind.

32) The first yellow card of the afternoon is awarded to Elias Kachunga for dragging
back Jack Currie. A free kick is awarded to Orient.

32) GOAL! The O’s quickly get on with play from the resulting free kick, getting the
ball out wide to Dan Agyei on the right, Agyei produces a blistering powerful drive
into the box beyond the U’s full back, he gets to the byline then cuts the ball back into
the six yard box where Ollie O’neil bundles the ball into the back of the net 1-0 to the
O’s.

35) Substitution for Cambridge as Sullay Kaikai is forced off through injury and is
replaced by former O’s fans favourite James Brophy.

45) There is an additional four minutes added time to be played at the end of the first
half.

45+1) Agyei picks up the ball from inside the Orient half and strides forward brushing
off the U’s midfielders, he finds himself with space just outside the U’s eighteen yard
box and sends his effort high and wide. He should have slipped Kelman through to
his right who would have had a one on one against Jack Stevens, a big chance
wasted by the O’s to double their lead.

HT) The O’s go into the break with a tight 1-0 advantage after a tightly contested first
half.

45) The O’s get the second half underway shooting towards the South Stand.

46) Jordan Brown goes into the book for the O’s.

55) O’s dangerman Agyei is having a storming game, he picks up the ball deep within
Orient’s own half and yet again powerfully drives down the right sided flank he gets to
the byline and picks out Jamie Donley inside the box who is free in acres of space,
Donley’s first time shot flies over the bar. Another massive chance wasted by the O’s.

58) Orient make their first substitution of the game with Darren Pratley replacing Dom
Ball in the centre of midfield.

64) An Orient corner causes havoc amongst the Cambridge defence, a huge mele
with a few attempts towards the U’s goal which somehow is clawed back back by
Keeper Stevens. The O’s are really knocking on the door for a second goal.

70) Orient are rewarded for their continuous high press when they dispossess the
ball from Jordan Cousins, Kelman drives towards the box and superbly picks out
Donley free at the far post who slides his leg out to tap into an empty net 2-0 to the
O’s.

74) Danny Andrew is booked for Cambridge after hacking down Agyei who has
terrorised the U’s fullback all game, it was only a matter of time really.

Orient make their second change of the day with Sean Clare replacing Jordan Brown
in the middle of the pitch.

78) Cambridge double substitution as Lundulu & Andrew are replaced by Loft &
Njoku.

83) A double switch for the O’s as Kelman & O’neil depart for Sweeney & Perkins.
Also a sub for the U’s as Cousins is replaced by T aylor Richards.

90) The fourth official has added a minimum of six additional minutes to be played

FT) It ends Leyton Orient 2 Cambridge United 0 at Brisbane Road. The O’s continue
their climb up the table with an impressive points return of 16 from 18 in League one
in their last six games.
