Episode 15- Turn the thermostat down and keep warm with yoga!

This week we carry on the festivity with festive tunes from the 80s, 90s and noughties, as well as a festive take on Movie Memory Lane.  This week I give you two yoga tips on how to help you keep warm with breathing and with some simple moves accessible to everyone, even if you’re in a chair.

My two tips to help you keep warm include how to do the ‘Victorious Breath’ by pretending to fog up a mirror, and how to do half sun salutations.

For half sun salutations:

  1. Start either standing or sitting. Reach your fingertips to the sky.
  2. On your exhale, fold in half reaching for your toes. If you’re standing you may want to bend the knees.
  3. Inhale, and bring your hands onto your shins and look forward, flattening out the back.
  4. Exhale and reach for the floor again.
  5. On the final inhale, lift yourself up and reach all the way up to the sky.
  6. Exhale and return your arms by your side.

You can repeat this sequence as many time as you like to help you stay warm.
