One 2 Three Friday 6.12.24 Aaron Watts Dodds Road church

Aaron Watts Dodds Road church
One 2 Three
Patrick Sherring

Aaron is Youth and Community Pastor at Dodds Road Community Church. He talked about the holistic mission they seek to undertake. A few year ago they thought it was a lot when they were supporting 130 people at Christmas through the Foodbank. Now they find the Foodbank supporting between 250 – 300 people every week. By getting to know the people they can then offer the parent/carer toddler group, the youth club, crisis support and the many other mid week groups as well as worship. Aaron talked of the wide range of organisations they work with to address needs in the community.

Aaron and volunteers are also involved with “detached youth work” which is street-based and schools work. This can be lunch time clubs or one-to-one mentoring.

He also said that they are looking for more volunteers to be involved in a wide range of roles. More information can be found on the church Facebook pages, by contacting on 01277224528 or via the website.
