Sitting at No. 38 this week with still over a month to go suggests that the party season has indeed started early! The song has spent 133 weeks on the chart in total and has reached the peak position of No. 1 previously.
But you won’t hear it on Phoenix yet. At least not until 1st December. Well you have to have some standards!

The song was recorded by Frank Sinatra in 1946 for his first album The Voice of Frank Sinatra, and again in 1954 for the film Young At Heart. “Someone to Watch Over Me” was notably covered by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Barbra Streisand, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Sinéad O’Connor, Elton John and Amy Winehouse. Today we heard a fabulous version by Ella Fitzgerald.
