Servants Marjory and Ann aka Elanor and Julie are part of the Companye of Merrie Folk. At Paycockes House the re-enactors who will present the sights and smells of 1st of January 1511. The house has been suitably decorated, music is playing. The family are expecting four guests and there will be much revelry when they arrive. Visitors can also talk will all the re-enactors. Eleanor and Julie made the costumes they are wearing, as have other members of the group which will have performed at around twenty events this year. Seasonal refreshments will also be available.

Saturday 30th of November and Sunday 1st of December 11.00 – 16.00

 

£9.50 adults, £4.75 children. National Trust members free entrance.

Thanks to Chris and Bob in Harlow, Chris in Guildford,  Julie, Marjory and Lisa in the studio,  Patrick in Ingatestone, Alan in York, Gary and Eileen in Buckhurst Hill for taking part. The winner with four points was an amazed Julie aka Ann.

Manfred Mann – Mr Ragamuffin man – 1969 No 8 UK and their last single release. Patrick requested any track by the band.

Lisa Whymark stated that Christmas 2024 will be a struggle for many, so Hutton Parish is again running a Hamper Appeal. Last Christmas over 200 hampers were distributed.

Lisa wondered if you could buy a few luxury items to make Christmas a little easier for someone? Cash donations are also appreciated. With over 200 volunteers involved, anyone who could spare a few hours would be appreciated to help with the task of organising and delivering.
