Is this the real meaning of HIGH TEA?

Now of course every Tuesday I’m joined by Margaret Mills for a trip back in time.

This week Margaret didn’t take us so far back.

Indeed as far as I’m concerned, it was almost recent since I had been around for some time when motor racing was going on here in Essex at Boreham, just to the East of Chelmsford.

If you missed what Margaret told me today about this motor racing circuit, which was frequented by a number of big names in the motor racing world, you can catch it all again here: –

But far away from Essex in the USA, we reported on a recent incident involving a pizza restaurant, where whilst furiously trying to fulfil orders from queuing hungry diners, the chef discovered that they’d run out of cooking oil!

Faced with potential catastrophe and in some panic, the chef suddenly spotted some oil, normally used for pot brownies, which he put to good use to complete the orders for waiting customers.

What he didn’t know was that the oil he used was infused with THC.

Now if you are unfamiliar with the term THC, I should explain that this is a form of marijuana.

Whilst marijuana is illegal in Wisconsin, the actual oil used by the chef was of a type known as DELTA-9, which is not illegal.

Unfortunately stuffing THC into fatty foods like pizzas, tends to intensify its effects because fats enhance the absorption of cannabinoids, whilst at the same time masking the flavour of the marijuana.

It has since emerged that local health officials found themselves coping with affected diners days after they had consumed the highly potent pizzas.

Joint owner of the pizza establishment, Cale Ryan, stated that after grabbing the wrong oil from a shared kitchen space within the building housing the restaurant, the cook went on to make a batch of dough sufficient to produce around 60 pizzas, all of which were quite naturally contaminated.

So far, he’s only heard from 20 affected customers, however Famous Yeti’s Pizza has been forced to temporarily close up shop whilst the premises undergo a thorough cleaning process.

I very much look forward to having the pleasure of your company once again next week,
Scott
