As the gold rush era of country music continues, the genre is looking hopeful in becoming a more inclusive and diverse hub for songwriters and performers. A style of music which is so well known for it’s many different branches: country-pop, bluegrass, folk, and southern soul; rising artist Nahzarah is the future of black country through her exploration of the Texas music scene’s past. With the release of her debut single Wait For Me and current radio single Oh,Friend, Nahzarah joined The Nightshift last Thursday to share her insight into the expanding country music community and black artist representation on radio waves.
