Episode 8- Women’s MOT Month- Menopause Symptoms

Continuing our discussion about menopause this week as it was International Menopause Awareness Day on the 18th of October, and is Menopause Awareness month. This week we talk about menopause symptoms, and I play music with tenuous links to the different symptoms.  I also give you tips on how to manage brain fog and menorage.

  • Some of the tips for brain fog include:
  • Write lists
  • Keep your brain active with reading, board games, card games, puzzles, etc.
  • Listen to a variety of music
  • Practise slow breathing
  • Practise meditation with mantras, such as Swaha (Let it be)

Some tips for managing menorage include:

  • Journaling- what was the trigger? When did it happen? How did you feel?
  • Mantra- Sa Ta Na Ma- Touch your thumb to each of your fingers as you repeat each syllable
  • Blowing breath
  • Jaw Gurning

Some of the symptoms with tenuous links to songs this week include:

  • Heart- Women’s chances of heart attacks double in menopause
  • Hot Flushes
  • Insomnia
  • Itchy Skin
  • Brain fog
  • Hair loss/ Thinning hair
