The Purleigh Colony

For her trip back in time, Margaret Mills chose this week to take a look at the short-lived PURLEIGH COLONY.

Sometimes known as the PURLEIGH BROTHERHOOD, it was established by some people who were followers of the Russian writer, Tolstoy.

Perhaps because, Tolstoy’s fan base was somewhat limited the organisation didn’t last long and disappeared soon after its first appearance in 1896.

Anyway if you missed what Margaret uncovered on this somewhat transient institution, you can listen again here to what Margaret told me today:-

Hope to see you again next week,
Scott
