Nashville-based singer-songwriter Erin Grand is carving out her place in music by skillfully blending the genres of country and soul. Her musical journey was shaped by the diverse influences of her upbringing, and Grand expresses, “My parents raised me on country, soul, and rock & roll – which I’m forever grateful for.”
Drawing inspiration from artists including Allen Stone, H.E.R, Bonnie Raitt, Kassi Ashton, and the legendary Amy Winehouse, Erin Grand embarked on a path to develop her sound and find her voice. American Songwriter aptly observes, “With a musicality she describes as ‘country with a lot of soul,’ Grand has undeniably etched her name as a rising star to keep a keen eye on.” Last Thursday, she joined Madeline on The Nightshift to discuss the writing session behind her current radio single ‘Dammit I Do’.
