Hot on the heels of last week’s 900th episode, there was no let-up tonight with two very different – but equally worthy of your ears – pairs of guests.
First up tonight I chatted to Dave and Johnny from Airbomb, a late-90s/early noughties punk outfit from Romford, who recently reunited after several years away to record a new single, Snipers Alley, to raise funds for Rom Skatepark, a local hub for skaters & skateboarders of all levels. As we found out, the band themselves are still up for a good skate around even in their advancing years! The single will be out on October 11th from all good streaming sites.
Next up I was joined by Marcus and Vicky, composer/co-writer and music director/orchestrator respectively for Blodlina – The Viking Musical. Heavy metal meets musical theatrics in this impressive tale based on Norse mythology with plenty of catchy tunes along the way. Following a successful showcase run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Blodlina crew are looking for more theatres to work with to bring their story to new audiences – to find out more, visit the Blodlina website and also look out for more songs soon following I’m A God – which we heard tonight!
