Do you know a child that loves to sing? Emma Gibbins, Director of Music at Chelmsford Cathedral is seeking school years 3 – 6 girls and boys who would be interested in singing in the Cathedral choir. Taster sessions start on Monday 21st of October for girls and Wednesday 23rd for boys at 4.15. Emma described being a chorister as “free high quality musical training”. Choristers will also develop confidence, teamwork and leadership skills in a supportive environment. This will provide the opportunity to perform at a professional standar alongside experienced musicians. This can also lead to enhanced academic performance through increased discipline and dedication. Children can also develop life-lomg friendships and enjoy travel opportunities with the choir, all whilst earning choir pay.
