Anyone up for joining “THE MILE BELOW CLUB”?

To start today’s show we reported on a couple of overzealous lovebirds who in their anxiety to find a quiet and lonely spot, had recklessly chosen to park up on the banks of a river.

It seems that during a moment of high passion one of the pair occupying a white 2020 model Range Rover, had accidentally bumped a limb into the gearstick thereby nudging it out of PARK and into DRIVE.

Yes, you guessed it, the daring duo were in for a cold surprise as the car slid over the edge dropping them unceremoniously into the cold waters below!

Fortunately for them they managed to escape from the sinking vehicle moments before it went below the surface, emerging somewhat sheepishly, and soaking wet on the banks of the river.

Philadelphia police later confirmed that the pair had clearly been enjoying each other’s company prior to the incident.

Embarrassingly the vehicle’s headlights remained on until it was finally fished out of the water at 9am the following morning, so anyone in the immediate vicinity would have guessed just what, apart from the car, had been going down.

Well let be a lesson for you.

Of course being a Tuesday, I was joined during the second hour of today’s show by Margaret Mills who chose to tell us about the somewhat Bohemian lifestyle of the painter of portraits, AUGUSTUS JOHN, who spent some time living in MATCHING GREEN, near Harlow.

He was accompanied during this visit by his wife, IDA MARGARET NETTLESHIP, his mistress Dorothy or Dorelia McNeill, (described as the children’s maid) and 9 of his alleged 100 children!

If you missed what Margaret told me, you can catch it all again here: –

I very much hope to have your company again next week,
Scott
