It is also the anniversary of the attack on The World Trade Centre in 2001 – so perhaps a bit of quiet reflection in memory of the victims.

Song for Daphne – “Here in My Heart” is a popular song written by Pat Genaro, Lou Levinson, and Bill Borrelli, first published in 1952. A recording of the song by Italian-American singer Al Martino made history as the first number one hit on the UK Singles Chart, on November 14, 1952. “Here in My Heart” also reached the number one spot in America.
Brazilian musician Sérgio Mendes, who helped popularise bossa nova and samba with Western audiences, has died at the age of 83, his family has confirmed.
A horse named Clive has been rescued by firefighters after falling into water.
Bass guitarist legend Herbie Flowers, who played with some of the greats of the 1960s and 70s, has died aged 86.
