Special guests on this week’s show are members of the Central Country Cricket Club from Barbados, who are currently touring Essex, as part of their 75th anniversary celebrations. Hope they are enjoying the English weather!
Red ball cricket is back and there are updates on the first Test at Old Trafford, where England are playing Sri Lanka. The County Championship has resumed after a seven week break, can Essex mount a serious challenge to Surrey’s lead or is it all over?
The Hundred is over and done for another year, reports suggest it is already on the wane with falling attendances (bar the London matches) and dwindling tv audiences. As the ECB courts potential investors, some worrying stories are doing the rounds.
And the increasingly popular One Day Cup heads to a climax; Somerset will take on Glamorgan in the Final. Only thing is that we have to now wait a month as it takes place on September 22nd at Trent Bridge!?!?
