This August bank holiday weekend, day trippers are set to make it the busiest for motorists on record.

RAC  data shows 19 million  trips will be made during the  weekend. Saturday will be the busiest day, with 3.7 million road trips planned, slightly ahead of 3 million on Friday, 3.1 million on Sunday and 3 million on bank holiday Monday. Another 6.2 million roads trips are planned at some point over the weekend. The RAC’s research also found 84% of the journeys will be for day trips. Drive Safely!
