Zach Hemming gifts Bolton Wanderers 1-2 opening day victory over Leyton Orient after howler in E10.
The sunshine swept over Brisbane Road this afternoon as the new Sky Bet League 1 season dawned at a later kick of 17:30pm.
Bolton, opened their account for the season with a smart finish from Dion Charles on the 7th minute mark. After Aaron Collins knocked down a long-ball. 0-1 Bolton.
Orient grew into the game and on the 33rd minute Zech Obiero ventured through midfield and his curling 25-yard effort crashed the crossbar.
This lifted the tempo and atmosphere inside Brisbane Road immensely and five minutes later the O’s had themselves back on level terms.
A wonderful over-the-top through ball from centre half Dan Happe found Charlie Kelman brilliantly and the Orient frontman took the ball in his stride before finishing coolly past Nathan Baxter in the Wanderers net. Orient 1-1 Bolton.

The second half took a while to get going. With both teams having a few crosses flash across the box without any finding a boot to hit home.
This including, in the 71st minute Dion Charles with a huge chance going a miss. Slicing a perfect cross after Sweeney lost possession on the left hand side.
However, on the 74th minute Orient debutant goalie Zach Hemmings had a moment to forget.
The keeper, dropped a simple cross that he had looked to have claimed. Victor Adeboyejo couldn’t believe his luck and tucked home with his first tough of the afternoon, after just coming on as a substitute. Orient 1-2 Bolton.
The mistake looked to have taken the stuffing out of an Orient side that had put in a very creditable shift and were well and truly still in the game.
The O’s huffed and puffed for the remainder of the match. However, did manage to produce one more chance to snatch an equaliser.
As in the 93rd minute of seven added on, Kelman controlled another long ball beautifully and smashed his shot at goal which was saved brilliantly by Baxter.
