You may have heard us playing London Town by Logan H James feat Renegade el Rey on a recent Rising Stars show – but who is Logan? We caught up with him to find out more about his life and music.

Tell us a little bit about your yourself?

I am a rapper, actor and entrepreneur from Baltimore. I’m currently under the record label Cool and Calm Entertainment.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

When I was young I used to write and freestyle. When I got to college my boy Mr Presidential helped me find out I could rap. My first big stage came years later thanks to my relationship with Shampoo.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

Nas, Jay Z, Panic at the Disco, Queen, Biggie, 50, Lupe, Wayne, Fab, Kanye.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

It’s an experience … I believe the beauty of my art comes from the fact that I don’t try and go for a sound, I just express how I feel, even if it’s different energies.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

For Real For Real and For Real For Real Remix, “What They Say I Do” Lil Crow album, Bad Bad.

Which artists do you enjoy listening to at the moment?

The Game, Cole, Drake, Kendrick, Jay Z. Everything that I experience on the daily basis influences my music.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

Janelle Monáe, Lotto, Cole, Bas, JID, OutKast (including Killer Mike).

What are your plans for the future?

Development of me being a man and all that comes with (being a better dad, husband, brother, and friend). Also making sure Nella Writes becomes a multi-millionaire.
