So pleased for my guest, JACOB REDDY, he’s playingGLASTONBURY FESTIVAL this year. What an achievement.
I first interviewed Jacob back in 2022 (his first radio interview) and his passion for music was clear. His songs could be compared to Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi but he has his own style and so much energy. As a solo with just the guitar or with his band his songs are catchy, hooky and make you want to hear more. I’ve had listeners ask me “who is this guy, he’s really good”. He’s just 18 years old and has already had lots of press, TV and radio.
His new release is called WEAR THE CROWN and its out now, its his 11th release!

INDEPDENT MUSIC HOW YOU CAN HELP
I love independent music and support it as much as I can on my radio show. Its mixed in on a daily basis with charts/classic tracks. I introduce the song but then continue to play it over a week or two so you can hear it more than once.
There is so much talent out there releasing incredible songs so if you like the song, let the artist know, you could give a little love back by liking the artist pages on their socials.
Most musicians are releasing self funded music, there are no record contracts or management, its just the artist, writing, recording, gigging, then the push to have it heard, contacting radio stations, playlists, write ups, its not easy.
