Kids Inspire Ambassador Beverley Swan explained the charity’s mission is to ensure that all children in the UK receive specialist support to become health adults who lead complete and fulfilling lives. Providing mental health and trauma recovery support for children, young people and their families, Kids Inspire provides a range of therapeutic and community activities seeking to promote resilience, self-awareness, and relationship building to empower more positive life choices. Beverley is a volunteer Ambassador for Kids Inspire. She also acts as a mentor for young people. She finds this a very rewarding role. The charity has grown significantly since it was founded by Sue Bell MBE fifteen years ago. Beverley feels that the needs are greater than ever.

Stan Cullimore, born Ian Peter Cullimore,  recently celebrated his 61st birthday. He played guitar for the Housemartins between 1983 – 1988. Since then he has been a journalist and author, writing 120 children’s books. We hear the Housemartins 1986 UK no 3 – Happy Hour . From the album – London 0 Hull 4 – No 3 in UK and Sweden, no 4 in Norway.

Rick West, born Richard Westwood still plays guitar and keyboard with the Tremeloes. The group formed in 1958 and he was one of the original members. In 2021 he was still playing in the band on the UK nostalgia circuits. He recently celebrated his 80th birthday. WE heard the band’s 1969 UK no 2 – Call me number one. The track was a no 1 in South Africa and top 10 in ten more countries.

Adele is 35 years old. She has sold over 100 million records works wide. we heard her 2012 theme from the James bond film – Skyfall – UK no 2, USA no 3. No 1 in 14 countries.

Multi award winning song including the Academy award and Golden Globe for best original song for a film.

Thanks to Chris Sarah and Bob in Harlow, Chris in Guildford, Sian in Manchester, Patrick in Ingatestone and Beverley in the studio for taking part. Our winner with four points was Beverley. She was amazed and said she had never won anything before!

Patrick requested a piano piece as he noted we are featuring 1957 and he say that he grew up then listening to solo piano pieces by such artists as Russ Conway and Winifred Atwell. We heard the 1995 recording by Bobby Crush of – Can you read my mind? – the love theme from Superman.

Lauren Diagle – Thank God I do – lead single from her new album simply called – Lauren Diagle – released today.

Sting – Message in a bottle – recorded live at Irving Plaza New York City. This classic Police song is no 65 in Rolling Stone 500 greatest songs of all time.
