Artist Feature: High Scalez

We’ve been playing out “Opera” by High Scalez on Phoenix FM recently – and we caught up with High Scalez to find out a little bit more about his life and music.

When did you first start to develop a passion for music?

I started experimenting with music before 20, as a producer and DJ, but those were brief. Until recently I didn’t have the resources to produce music professionally.

Which artists did you listen to while growing up?

I grew up with Showtek and Head Hunters, but later I started to listen move to music by Dr. Peacock, Re-Style or Revault and Sefa.

How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before?

Euphoric Frenchcore. I try to combine classic elements with Frenchcore.

What music have you recorded and released to date?

Opera, My Love, As Long as I Got You, Make it Real and Make it Shine. You can find all of these on my YouTube channel.

Tell us a little bit about “Opera”?

In “Opera” by High Scalez I tried to combine opera and Frenchcore. I have been listening to hard dance (mainly hardstyle and frenchcore) for a long time. I finally want to give my ideas out of my head so other people can enjoy it as well.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

I’d love to collaborate with Dr. Peacock.

What are your plans for the future?

Continuing producing good music that touches your emotion, I also started DJing a bit more serious.
