You may have heard us playing out God Is The Greatest by Keith Adam Lefkowitz on Phoenix FM – and we caught up with Keith to find out a little bit more about his music and faith.
How did you start writing music?
A number of years ago, I believe close to the age of 20, I heard a melody in a dream about Jesus called the Hero Above All Ages. I woke up from the dream thinking, “Wow, that’s cool” and felt I was told by God that this song is going be brought to life through me.
As months past beyond that dream, I was obsessed with that song and by trying to recreate it I have continually gotten other songs like the Lord is the Greatest and The God of our Wonderful Molecular Trains.
As I got these songs seeming to be in a spontaneous supernatural way I said to myself this is what I want to do. Some songs came in dreams (The History Pages of God) and others in broad day (How each Angel Displays their praise).
I would get these songs I believe supernaturally and be like, “Wow God, you’re totally my friend and so absolutely kind and wonderful to put songs in my dreams in broad daylight”.
What other projects do you think this will lead to?
Since I was a kid I have had a desire to sing in a church and play piano for the glory of God and Jesus. Now today I have this firm feeling that says something to the effect – “Keith I want you to get a movie made called the Lord is the Greatest, a CGI movie/musical about being in Heaven and the songs I give you fit the same movie”.
It appears to me that Hero Above All Ages The Lord is the Greatest Praise God All People, the God of our Wonderful Molecular trains, and Everything is Alive in the presence of the Lord songs all fit the same movie.
I am passionate about finishing an entire soundtrack to a movie that hasn’t yet been made I look up most to God in my life like when it comes to music. I believe I love music because God put such melodies and lyrics into my head that it has been the major reason I want to be full time musician . I see God as the number one music artist of all time and space.
Which other music do you love listening to?
I do love music by Marty Goetz and music made by the artists of the movie the Prince of Egypt. And I’d love to collaborate with Stephen Schwartz, the writer of the song Through Heaven’s Eyes.
