One 2 Three Friday 24.3.23 with author and vicar Dan Pierce.

P H O E N I X   P L A Y E R
with author and vicar Dan Pierce.
One 2 Three
Patrick Sherring

Above, Eleanor King and Dan Pierce at the launch of Prayer Gallery at Chelmsford Cathedral.

Their book is based on monthly Sunday afternoon Prayer Galleries that Dan held at St. Francis Church in Beaulieu Park, Chelmsford. Dan would set up twelve themed prayer  stations that were interactive and suitable for all ages. They were designed to be creative, accessible fun  ways to help people engage with prayer in a community setting. All were easy to set up. Established author and member of the congregation Eleanor though this would be a great idea for a book. Publishers Kevin Mayhew agreed. Dan chatted through examples of the stations. This included one focussing on tree rings, and how they show the health of the tree during each year. This can be related to the passage of time in our lives, our different experiences and generate ideas of prayer to bring before God. More information about the book can be found at https://www.kevinmayhew.com
