Chamber of Commerce confident over business prospects

Mike Hawkins from the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce looks forward to 2023 confident in the prospects for local businesses in the year ahead

If you only read the headlines in the national press or TV news channels, you might be forgiven for being pessimistic about the prospects for the economy in 2023. Post-covid blues, strikes everywhere, NHS crises, rampant inflation, seemingly uncontrolled immigration – need I go on?

In fact we have great faith in the resilience of Brentwood businesses to take advantage of what could be more favourable conditions ahead – inflation gradually coming under control, the real prospect of Brentwood becoming a Business Improvement District (BID) in the near future and an improving economic climate.

Brentwood is well known for its entrepreneurs – especially small to medium businesses. And Brentwood Chamber of Commerce is here to give support to local businesses and help create the conditions for business to prosper.

We have already mapped out a dynamic programme of support, from the monthly networking breakfasts, ‘meet the members’ events, Wine Tasting evenings, Summer Barbeque (highlight of the summer) and Annual Business Awards – celebrating Brentwood Businesses.

There has never been a more important time for businesses to come together to exchange creative ideas and to network for increased business.

Brentwood Chamber of Commerce offers the ideal way of making this happen as its main purpose is to help businesses succeed and achieve their business aims. If you are a local business and have not yet joined, now is the time to do so. Start by visiting Chamber’s website at:
