The Arts Programme – 144 – A Story Of Things To Tell

This week we welcomed Jim Westover to the show to talk about his new story ‘penknife‘. A partial biogrpahical fiction based in Brightlingsea.

We also listened to some of the novel’s ‘story spotify‘ playlist to set the scene too when Jim transported us back to the 80’s with no more than a careless whisper!

Of course we played some ‘firecracker songs’ in the second half of the show to celebrate firework night and got to grips with a little bit of French anarchy too with the ‘take 5’ tune. And not to forget… we told you how you can get involved in the show too with our Art-vent calander! Follow the link below too to tell us more about your favourite books. JOIN US!

Our playlist saw some ‘Indoor Fireworks’ by Elvis Costello, a ‘Firework’ by Katie Perry and we finished with a James Blunt ‘Bonfire Heart’.

Listen again to The Arts Programme with Natalie and Claire!
