Ahead of Wednesday’s Drive I caught up with keyboardist, songwriter and producer Geoff Downes. Geoff plays keyboard in several iconic bands including YES, ASIA and The Buggles so it was great to chat about what it’s like juggling being in several successful bands at once, what it’s like to be in a “supergroup” and whether new material written for one band ever finds it’s way into the other band! We also covered the upcoming tour with YES, a very special ASIA live box set and, despite the success of all his bands, how he still gets a buzz hearing one of their songs on the radio.
