Billy Joel - It's Still Rock And Roll To Me
Listen Live Webcam

Off The Record / 10-12pm / 29th March

On this week’s show we stretched the Ska & Mod revival, like most of it’s followers stretch their Fred Perrys. We uncovered the connection between Lucky Numbers and Breaking Glass, and enjoyed some other film soundtracks from Blade Runner, The Long Good Friday and even played a track written for a film, by The Dame.

We remembered Dave Greenfield and dear Bill Withers. When Marc Bolan wore glitter make up, and the Sex Pistols didn’t swear.  Lisa Stansfield gave us a new meaning to Northern Soul, and we tested your lyrical knowledge on The Jam and in which West Ham FA Cup winning year they were #1?

All in all, the show carried more punch than a bitch slap from Will Smith and a little more sophistication than a hot dog.  Know what I mean?
